Commodities
Commodities are materials (goods) that are still in its natural state (the raw materials) used by humans to produce a inhabitable world. People use agrarian products to feed themselves, energy to support them, metals to build tools and weapons.
All commodities have the following common characteristics:
Commodities are tradable: They are meet needs to be a feasible mechanism to help to the individual or corporation to trade they. For example, a raw materials having been alluded to commodity if it has a futures contract is traded on one of the major stock exchanges, or if a company traded on one of the major stock exchanges processes it, or if exists an Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) that tracks it.
Deliverability (Distribution system can supply some good in a given period of time): All the commodities should be physically deliverable. For example, a crude oil is deliverable material due to it can be delivered in barrels. Corn, rice and wheat are included due to they can be delivered by the bushel.
Liquidity (The availability of liquid assets to a market): Every commodity has a constantly moving market with sellers and buyers permanently transacting with each other. Liquidity is critical because it gives to the investor or trader the ability to sell the commodity without causing a meaningful change in the price and with minimum loss of commodity's value.
